SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 18
(By Senators Wiedebusch and Macnaughtan)
Congratulating John Marshall High School on the outstanding
athletic ability of its football team for winning the state
AAA championship; the golf team for winning the state
championship; and the senior, junior and sophomore
cheerleading squads for their support.
Whereas, The John Marshall High School football team ended its
season with nine wins and only one loss, assuring it a birth in the
championship playoffs. During the playoffs, the John Marshall High
School football team had four wins and no losses in winning the
state AAA championship; and
Whereas, During the tremendous football season which brought
the championship to John Marshall High School, the cheerleading
squad fueled the fire of the players, helping them achieve their
goals; and
Whereas, The John Marshall High School golf team ended its
season with thirty-three wins and only one loss and won the OVAC
championship, the regional championship and the coveted state
championship; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby recognizes the outstanding athletic
ability and team spirit of John Marshall High School's football
team and golf team in bringing home the state championships of
their respective sports; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Senate hereby recognizes the
outstanding ability and talent of the senior, junior and sophomore
cheerleading squads whichhc inspired the players to had
an impact on the players and fans of John Marshall High School,
helping them bring the
championship wins to John Marshall High School; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this resolution to John Marshall High School.
